There are two FREE options for internet access: 

Option 1: Charter is offering free Spectrum broadband and WIFI access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students affected directly or indirectly by COVID-19. Those who do not currently have a Spectrum broadband subscription can call 1-844-488-8395 to enroll. Installation fees will be waived.

Option 2:  Comcast is offering free internet service for 60 days to those who have at least one child who qualifies for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), receive HUD housing assistance, or are a veteran that receives federal or state public assistance; do not have outstanding debt to Comcast that is less than a year old; families with outstanding debt more than one year old may still be eligible; and live in an area where Comcast Internet service is available but have not subscribed to Comcast Internet service within the last 90 days. There are also two low-cost options for internet access: 

Option 1:  AT&T is offering internet service for $5 or $10 per month for families with at least one resident in the household who participates in the U.S. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) who do not have outstanding debt for AT&T fixed Internet service within the last six months or outstanding debt incurred under this program. AT&T will assign the fastest of these speed tiers available at the customer's address: 10 megabits per second, for $10 per month; 5 megabits per second, for $10 per month; or 3 megabits per second, for $5 per month. For more information, call (855) 220-5211. No installation fee and no charge for in-home Wi-Fi modem.

Option 2:  human-i-t, a nonprofit, provides assistance with the sign-up process to obtain internet access for $14.99 per month. A household needs to be 200% or below of the federal poverty level or be currently enrolled in an income-based government assistance program. Examples of programs include: food support (SNAP), financial assistance (TANF), free or reduced lunch at school, Section 8 voucher, Medicaid, and SSI.
