IMPORTANT NOTICE!

SB 854 requires ALL contractors, including subcontractors, to register with the Department of Industrial Relations prior to bidding on public works projects (submitted on or after March 1, 2015).

All contractors and subcontractors intending to bid or work on a public works project (as defined in Labor Code), must register and pay an annual fee to the State of California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). This registration fee is paid directly to the DIR. The Empire Union School District will not register contractors, nor will the District receive fees for registration. Annual registration is valid through June 30th each year. For more information regarding SB 854 requirements, click here.

Empire Union School District - Integrated Pest Management Plan (IPM)

It is the goal of Empire Union School District to implement IPM by focusing on long-term prevention or suppression of pests through accurate pest identification, by frequent monitoring for pest presence, by applying appropriate action levels, and by making the habitat less conducive to pests using sanitation and mechanical and physical controls. Pesticides that are effective will be used in a manner that minimizes risks to people, property, and the environment, and only after other options have been shown ineffective.
